Snow in the mountains of Jerusalem is not an everyday phenomenon. Last year we had exceptionally heavy snow, which caused a lot of damages. In the 2nd week of January 2015 snow came again, considerably lighter this time, but it came in two successive waves and was severe enough (especially the second one, on the night of Friday Jan. 9) to get the police to close the roads from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which got me stuck at home in Mevasseret Zion - 7 km. west of Jerusalem - for two days.

Oh my goodness, Uri! I would have never imagined snow in Jerusalem! We got a dump of two feet in two days a while ago! We are used to the cold and snow....this must have been quite a shock for you folks! Hope you are well and may 2015 be an awesome year for you my friend!!! L
