Description
The Valley of Ha-Ella (valley of the goddess), some 35 km. south-west of Jerusalem, taken on the afternoon of the March Equinox day - the official beginning of spring. The name "Ella" (the "Ha" prefix goes for the Hebrew word "the") also means Pistacia (Terebinth), one of the most common trees of the Near Eastern forest vegetation. Olives plantation is seen in the center of the frame and planted Pines in the far distance.
